Qualify Friday night March 2nd, 6 - 10pm and/or Saturday March 3rd, 11am - 3:30pm
- In each Qualification packet, there will be 8 qualification entry tickets and 2 cards. - Write your name on each qualification ticket and your placeholder card immediately (the other card is for the raffle). - Select one of up to 5 Qualifying Pinball Machines and use your placeholder card to hold your place in line for that Machine. Play 1 Game (each Game costs $.75 to play for the entire Tournament). Have your score recorded on your qualification ticket. - Continue Qualifying until you have played all 5 Machines. Check your Ranking, and use the 3 extra Qualification tickets on any Machine that you think you can do better on to boost your Playoff Ranking! If you play the same Machine several times, pay attention to your scores and only turn in your highest! Accidentally turning in a lower score will lower your ranking for the Playoffs!! - Your best scores will be ranked against others on each Machine and given a point value. For example - 1st place = 50 points, 2nd = 49 points, 3rd = 48 points, etc. - Your point values on each Game will be added together to determine your overall ranking and playoff seeding against other players for the Playoffs.
Qualification tickets must be used by the original competitor and are not transferable. Anyone turning in someone else's qualification ticket will be disqualified! YOU are responsible for turning in ONLY your highest scores! No refunds on un-used qualifying tickets!!
The Qualification Round ends Friday night at 10 pm and Saturday at 3:30 pm sharp! You can Qualify on Friday and/or Saturday.
You cannot play in “B” Division
if you are ranked in the IFPA/WPPR overall top
500 IFPA/WPPR points awarded for final "A" Division Playoff Standings and final "B" Division Qualifying Standings (no reshuffling of "B" Division for IFPA reporting due to "top 500" restriction). Also, If less than 64 Players Qualify, the "B" Division Playoff will be 8 Players.
- 4 Player, 3 Game Match, Single Elimination Group-Style Playoff. The Playoffs begin at 4 pm or after the Side Tournaments are completed. Playoffs will be held on pre-selected Pinball Machines.
The top 32 Qualifiers are split into 2 Divisions...
- “B” Division – The 17th - 32nd Ranked Qualifiers - (In the event there are less than 64 Qualifiers, the 17th - 24th Ranked Qualifiers will compete in the "B" Division)
- "A" and "B" Division - 4 player groups and each round is a 3 game single elimination format. Games are pre-selected and different for each of the 3 rounds. Points are awarded for each game based on finishing position (7, 5, 3, 1). Top 2 Players continue on, and bottom 2 Players are eliminated. Highest seed selects player order for first game of each round. Winner of each game selects player order for subsequent games. If cumulative scores after 3 games result in a tie to determine those continuing or eliminated, the tied players will play a one tiebreaker game on one of two pre-selected tiebreaker machines. The winner will advance.
This Tournament is expected to grade out at 100% under WPPR rules: 5 games for qualifying (TGP = 5). A Division Playoffs are 4 rounds of play. Rounds 1, 2 and 3 will be 3 four player games (TGP of 6 = 18). In Round 4, Two Players play heads up best 3 out of 5 (TGP = 3). 4 player games are 2x value under new system so each round of playoff counts as 6 TGP. TGP or significant games = 26 (5 qualifying plus 21 A bracket playoff) = 100% of base value.
